A few weeks into our move in, the bed in the secondary bedroom broke. When my roommate looked at the bed frame, she discovered whoever fixed the bed from the last time it broke, screwed in a metal water bottle because they didn’t have the proper equipment to fix the bed. Once we let Blueground know, they sent someone to fix it. He came and “fixed it” and the bed broke the next day. It took another week or so for the bed to be replaced. She still went about 3 weeks of sleeping on a broken bed which was uncomfortable and put her body through a lot of stress. Fast forward to October. I had broken blinds in the primary bedroom and requested that they be replaced with blackout shades. I noticed that every other apartment in the building had these shades and thought it would be a simple fix. They came to replace my blinds and replaced them with the same cheap blinds that break easily. I reached out again and asked to have blackout shades as there is a lot of light that comes in the windows, making it hard to get a decent sleep. Blueground said they would order me blackout shades. I was confused when I didn’t see the blinds so I sent an email asking about the installation and was told to check the mail as they sent them. Upon getting the box, Blueground sent me 2 blackout curtains that use suction cups to stick to the window. As frustrated as I was that these were not blackout shades like they told me I would be getting, I would have accepted this as a resolution except for the fact that they sent me 2 curtains and I had 5 windows. This showed me that there was zero communication between Blueground and the apartment management. Then Blueground told me that they would have shades installed the first week of December. When the day of install came and went with no attempt to contact me, I knew there was no way I was getting the shades installed before my move out date. Over 2 and a half months with no resolve is completely unacceptable. I’ve never had this bad of an experience at any apartment complex I’ve ever lived at. Do not rent from them. You will regret it.

Blueground customer service I will say was attentive and helpful. However, I would never use Blueground again mostly due to how much more you pay when going through them. Many people have told me this, I wish I would have known before- it would have saved me a lot of money. Just something to consider before booking with them. Once you’re in it you’re stuck unless you want to pay a crazy amount to get out. They do not care what your reason for needing to get out of it is. That was pretty unfortunate. If you were to lease outside of Blueground, you have a much easier chance of subletting, etc. good luck!

I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the exceptional service I received during my four-month stay at Instrata Pentagon City in Washington, DC. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the professionalism and attentiveness of the Blueground team. The seamless check-in process made me feel welcome right away, and throughout my stay, any inquiries or requests were promptly addressed with utmost care and efficiency. Living at Instrata truly felt like a home away from home, thanks to the impeccable amenities and the thoughtfully curated interior design. Whether it was the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable furnishings, or the stunning views of Pentagon City, every aspect contributed to a comfortable and enjoyable living experience. Moreover, I must commend the Blueground team for their dedication to ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and maintenance throughout the property. It was evident that great care was taken to uphold hygiene protocols, which provided peace of mind, especially during these uncertain times. Overall, my experience with Blueground at Instrata Pentagon City exceeded my expectations in every aspect. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a premium accommodation option in Washington, DC. Thank you once again for providing such exemplary service.

Apartment advertised as 3 bedroom but really a 1 bedroom, carved up. The bathrooms are so small you cant fit in them and water goes everywhere. The mattresses are like they picked them up off a sidewalk. The Apt is 120 degrees and you cant open the windows in 2 of the bedrooms or i would say closets because they have retrofitted window AC units mounted (which don't work). The building is old and run down. Asked to void the agreement because I have a son having heart surgery and want him to be comfortable...there response was that i would have to pay a penalty to leave early! I have stayed with similar companies like furnished quarters and had wonderful experiences. It is virtually impossible to get anyone on the phone. I could go on and on but bottom line is stay away from this company book with anyone else!P

If you are thinking of renting a Blueground in NYC, I have one word for you.....DON'T. I very rarely leave reviews but I came here to make sure nobody else makes my mistake. It's been a nightmare from check-in and the apartment is gross, worn, and generally feels like a seedy, rundown motel located 1 mile outside the airport. First, the value is horrendous. I've lived in NYC for 12 years and needed a temproary solution for a few months between apartments. I'm generally familair with the building I was renting in but I was not prepared for the condition of the Blueground apartment itself. They charge you for luxury and deliver a steaming pile of gross. Here are a few of these issues: - Dark smudges all over the walls - Flooring between the kitchen and living room coming apart - Dirty, smelly rug - Ratty, uncomfortable, cheap furniture. - stains and chips in bathtub - Multiple non functioning lamps with broken switches - Key fobs on the keys didn't work upon arrival, needed to go work with security to get them reset on my own - Kitchen lacking cooking essentials - Cheapest possible trash bags, toilet paper, and trash bags. Not even worth using. - Lobby closed and undergoing a large renovation. There is a notice in the elevator that this renovation started a month before I even booked my stay but Blueground never changed their listing or mentioned it You currently have to go in and out of the service entrance despite your "luxury" price tag. The existing "lobby" is a dark hallway. I've spoken to the Bluground staff who mostly tried to ignore specific questions on the lobby and claim ignorance on the condition of the apartment. It's been a fun game of back and forth which has been a waste of time. Blueground has promised a miniscule (relative) refund for these issues and said they would re-evaluate an additional refund if the lobby isn't finished in early March. Hint - it won't be. So far they also refuse to answer why this refund can't be sent now. I paid upfront to save money so they have all the funds. They have not replied in over a day when I asked for a real answer. Bottom line, go get yourself an AirBnB so you know what you're getting. Now that NYC enforces the STR laws the monthly stays on AirBnB have become more "afforable" and you can read specific reviews on the apartments. AirBnB Hosts are more invested in their properties because they don't have hundreds of them. No pride in the product here and I don't see Blueground acheving sustained success on the path they are on. Stay away. Edit: The dishwasher also doesn't work. This place stinks.

I had a reservation with Blueground for a 30-day stay, but my experience was far from satisfactory. Within the first 30 hours, the building supervisor entered my apartment twice without consent or a clear explanation. Despite acknowledging the lapse, Blueground failed to handle the situation professionally. No apology or relocation options were provided. Feeling my security and safety breached, I had no choice but to leave the apartment and secure a last-minute hotel. 5 weeks later - I still haven’t received a refund for the rest of my stay. This experience has left me deeply disappointed and worried about the safety of potential guests, who should be aware of these issues.

Awful experience. Paid around $16,500 and there were still hidden fees. Not a premium experience, nor even an average experience. Front desk won’t help with anything because you’re a bluegroubd guest, Zero costumer service and zero costumer …
